San-Diego based Greyboy Allstars are a truly sick jam band and I'm glad to keep up the funk level on the blog. To be honest I'm doing some backlog sorting and that's why you'll prolly see lots of music not from the year 2008 comin up. But I assure you it's all good :) These Allstars started up in the early 90's and have been kickin a*s ever since. Some of yall might know Karl Denson and he is in this band rockin on the flute and sax. The greyboy in the name comes from DJ Greyboy up on the turntables and you can find his own solo stuff under the title Greyboy. Get this album and check out the track Deck Shoes cuz it showcases some killer flute.
Welcome!

You gotta be good to pull off flute and not seem ridiculous. Jethro Tull is one of the few to successfully make that balance into a career.
