Montreal brings us some inconsistent music from Plants & Animals. The band has some tracks that kick some major a*s in their genre but for some reason the second half of the album doesn't quite do it for me. Sometimes I can stomach it over other music but it sounds like the songs are relatively indecisive as far as mood and tone go. But maybe that's the point?! They almost take on a progressive or post rock feel. Whatever. Listen to Feedback In The Field, I love this song, and also Sea Shanty is a good song that will convey the description I gave above. Ears.
