Yet again a band who was found on a random mix from back in the ear it now days but was reviewed. They say they are pop/soul based on their myspace but I'm sensing some indie in there as well. Wintersleep has a fantastic way of being soft and melodic before turning up the volume and poundin away at the distortion. They're from Halifax, Nova Scotia, have been a band since 2002, and won a 2008 Juno award for New Band Of The Year (even though they weren't technically all that new?). Not to say they didn't deserve it. It's good.
