Genre: Soul/Funk
Release Date: 2007-10-02
Label: Daptone
Daptone records does a pretty good job of dishin out that funk and soul that we all like to get our feet movin and our souls jivin. I saw Sharon and the Dap Kings for the first time in Louisville at Headliners early on in this fine year of 2008 and I was not disappointed. The live show is even better than the album (and other albums of hers) and you gotta love a band that can outdeliver their studio albums with live performance. Take my advice and try to ear her up in person.
