Tracklist:
01. Maintenance Hall 4am
02. A Thread Cut With A Carving Knife
03. Undertow
04. Going Going Gone (Live)
05. 14 Forever
06. Sad Robot
Genre: Shoe Gaze
Website: Myspace |
Release Date: 2008-11-11
Label: Arts & Crafts
I haven't entered Shoe Gaze into the genre ever (well maybe once or twice) but Canadian group Stars is an seasoned band who hasn't had a release in a while if my memory serves me right. Having waited a while to hear something new from Stars I'm glad Sad Robots EP is as good as it is.

Don't forget about their Do You Trust Your Friends release, which I guess wasn't really them playing but i count it as a stars release. good album, too. excited to get a hear of this ep. also, i dont know if i agree with calling them shoegaze. at all. id reconsider.
they actually released a new album last year...
In Our Bedroom After The War
http://www.amazon.com/Our-Bedroom-After-War/dp/B000UZ4EFM/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1229251627&sr=8-1
hahah ya man, this is their sixth cd release (including do u trust your freinds?) their an amazing band and have been making beautiful music for many years. many of the band memebers Co write, sing and produce with broken social scene, emily haines, K-OS along with many other talented canadian ARTISTS! SO they're always making music and its always amazing!( they have tones of intresting music videos as well!!)
shoe gaze? wtf? haha YA DEF RECONSIDER! u NEED TO HEAR MORE OF THEIR MUSIC 4 SURE!
I think you've been misinformed if you think they haven't had an album in a while.
they released "in our bedroom after the war on the 25th of september 2007.
which is not long enough ago to put them in a shoe lace genre, thats just offensive.
on a more pleasant note, I was very happy when i learned that stars was releasing this ep and i'm really looking forward to hearing anything new from this amazing band.
:D
