Local Natives Update

For those of you who were smart enough to check out Local Natives when I last posted about them the greatness that their music exudes comes as no surprise. If, by chance, you frequent this digital grotto and haven't heard them then please do us all a favor and click both links above before continuing.
Taylor (of Local Natives) has always been kind enough to keep me in the loop of his tribalistic ensemble and the loop has some new curves to it. A couple of new unreleased songs, a slew of SXSW shows followed by a west coast tour, and to top it all off a live version video of my thus-far favorite Local Natives song Airplanes shot on an abandoned 7th floor of a NYC building. It was recorded live with minimal instrumentation (percussion aux pieds et mains), maximum reverb, and you will be surprised at how cohesive their song remains regardless of their setup. Sexy stuff.
If you go to SXSW here are their showtimes... and if I find out you went and did not attend at least one of their shows I will never forgive you:

NIGHT - 8:00pm House Party 2604 Diaz St.
Last but not least there is an awesome poster and map for their shows - wish I had a hard copy so snag me one if you see one down there.
And did you think I'd forgotten? To keep you all smart and up to date you had to make it to the bottom in order to get the sweet sweet nectar from the fruits of their labor:
