This future release was brought to my attention by Nathan from The Record Machine. The self-titled LP is the kind of album that once you give it a listen one time through you decide it is an album that needs no excessive promotion - once it hits a pair of ears it is destined to spiderweb beyond. Immaculately crafted beats, licks, and layers all come together in the right amount of electronically infused instrumental acoustic music bordering on post-rock. It's the work of Derek Barber, formerly the guitarist of The Winston Jazz Routine and Every Gentle Air.

I know it's over two months away but I assure you it is a must-have for your collection.
