Release Date: 2009-02-11
Label: Rallye/Carroway
After his debut album, Plastic Lions scored rave reviews all over the press in 2004, indie popster Eberg followed it with the success of a second album, Voff Voff, which saw its key track ‘Inside Your Head’ go from hitting iTunes' electronic Top 10 in the USA, to being picked up by Apple as the tune to launch their iPhone in the US.
On his third album, Antidote, Eberg filters the best moods from his first two albums - the poignant and quirky feel of Plastic Lions, and the slick off-beat pop and dance he developed on Voff Voff. From the title track, with its sweet nostalgic heartbreak and slow tunes like ‘No Need To Worry’, which tug at the heart strings, the pure, simple hooks of ‘Let’s Spend The Day Together’ and the samples and strings of ‘Your Kindness is Cruel’ this is arguable Eberg's best work yet.
