Jakobinarina are something new and fresh. It's a different sort of sound to the stardard indie fare of just now! It is electronic and rock at the same time. Like a cross between the Klaxons and The Hives! Best tracks are 'His Lyrics are Disastrous' 'I've got a Date with my Television' and 'This is an Advertisement'.

It's a reflection of Icelandic youth as the Arctic Monkeys are a reflection of British youth.

The album is a mix of different styles, the actual music is amazing and lead singer Gunnar Bergmann shouts the lyrics at you in a way that tells you he means business. It's hard to pin down their actual style but the gaurdian said "but they sound more like the Fall in a clinch with the Wedding Present" and I can't think of a better way of putting it.

It's sad to say that their First Crusade will be their only crusade - they announced their disbandment shortly after this release.
